'Black Mirror's New Cast'
It's been a long time coming but there is finally news to break on the Netflix hit series Black Mirror. Season 5 premiered over three years ago, and back in 2020, show creator Charlie Brooker told RadioTimes that he wasn't sure if the audience could handle a new season given the state of the world around the time of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, a crop of new talent is expected to join the upcoming Season 6. New stars for the anthology series include Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Zazie Beetz, and Kate Mara. More names are expected to be unveiled in the future, but so far no release date for the new season has been announced.
'Breaking Bad' Forever
Do you remember Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from AMC's "Breaking Bad"? Well, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is making sure those names are never forgotten with two statues set to be erected in their honor. Both "Breaking Bad" and its spinoff "Better Call Saul" take place in the Southwest U.S. city. Show creator Vince Gilligan, along with Sony Pictures, plan to gift the statues to be unveiled at the Albuquerque Convention Center later this month — with stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul saying they plan to attend.
From 'Stranger Things' to Slasher Flicks
Season 4 of "Stranger Things" might be a wrap but fans of the show might find comfort in knowing that one of its stars is already working on his next project as Season 5 gets cooked up. Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler in the show, is working on his second directorial project, his first feature film, called "Hell of a Summer," described as a slasher horror-comedy that he is co-directing and co-writing. No details have been revealed about it, but Wolfhard's directorial debut with Night Shifts, a short film that received accolades from the Fantasia Film Festival, is available in the meantime.
