Welcome back Between Bells, everyone that's baker machado, I'm Hannah Dobel, let's get you caught up on some of the top entertainment headlines we're following this hour and some new faces are appearing in the next season of the hit sci fi series, Black Miller are Mirror Yes. Variety is reporting that a star cast of season six of the anthology series will include josh Hartnett, Aaron, paul, Zazi beats and kate mara. The specific cast only spans three episodes. So it's believed more actors are going to join Black Mirror for episodes beyond just that, the netflix series gearing up for its long awaited return and naturally those deeds are being kept tightly under wraps. However we want, we know it will have more episodes in season five, it's been three years since the last Black Mirror premiered back in june of 2019 and that one featured Andrew scott, Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus. Hopefully fans of the show won't have to wait too long. New season reportedly already in production already huge draw obviously for this show because one, it's filmed like a movie, all of these episodes that are basically like a movie which these actors then want to be a part of as a result because that basically is able a huge draw for them to basically be one episode commitment because we know a lot of these series, 6 to 8 episodes, a lot of times is longer for a lot of these of these uh these stars and there was a lot of questions about the show's future. In addition to basically the pandemic there not being able to film, but the production changes the production house changed over the last three years. So they had a whole licensing battle about if netflix was still going to be able to keep the rights to this show and they were able to secure it. So that's good news for Black Mirror fans. I'm so glad you mentioned that same creators different production company, those creators of Black Mirror actually created Broken Bones, which Netflix invested $100 million in. So they believe in the show, they believe in these creators and this show you and I were talking about has a cult following people love and and it gets to sort of the ethos of what netflix is becoming now which is doubling down on I. P. Of projects like Stranger Things, Black Mirror, these these title names that they can build brands off of, that's where they're gonna be spending their money and they know they'll get the viewers exactly. And speaking of Aaron paul, he's breaking his Breaking Bad character jesse Pinkman and his meth making murderous partner walter White will each be honored with statues in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While the critically acclaimed show and its spinoff Better Call Saul have made the city look like crime ridden drug slinging Mecca. Albuquerque is happy to embrace this tough reputation. The bronze statues are being donated to the city by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and Sony pictures, television Gilligan says he wanted to give back to Albuquerque, which has served as the setting for his project for years now. We don't know what the statues actually look like. We have some ideas in mind. Maybe Jesse Pinkman and walter White are seen in their Hazmat jumpsuits, iconic scene by the way. Or we wouldn't mind a bronze statue of bryan Cranston and his tidy Whiteys. The sculptures are said to be on display at the Albuquerque Convention Center later this month. So both paul paul and Cranston released a press release a statement saying that they're so glad that these statues are gonna be inside. So pigeons don't deposit their critiques on the bronze statue. They, by the way, Aaron paul and their friends, but they're going to the unveiling of this in Albuquerque, so we should go one of them on the couch or brian car incident is tighty whiteys, I mean like what an amazing moment for them to be like. Yeah, that's me, you know, underwear immortalized. But it makes so much sense even though it is your right, you know, a sort of dark nefarious show. This sort of brought so much production to Albuquerque and to New Mexico in particular because you mentioned Better call Saul, don't forget the High school musical films were there. There's so many tax breaks that the state of New Mexico has been given to Hollywood to get more films and stuff produced and television shows produced out there and this really sort of started because of Breaking Bad. I I was kind of hoping that the pizza being flung onto the roof of the house would have been basically at the statue but who knows? They might be yes, exactly. Meanwhile Stranger for season for Stranger Things might be over. But Star film Wolf part, He's taken a hard look at something else. He's moving behind the camera, the 19 year old who plays mike on the hit series now gearing up to co write and co direct a feature length horror comedy called Hell of a Summer. Now, Hell of a Summer Marks Wolf Hart's first time directing a feature film in 2020. He made his directorial debut with his first short film called Night shifts that received the silver audience award for best Canadian short at the Fantasia Film Festival. The plot details for a hell of a summer are being kept tightly under wraps. But we're obviously gonna be patiently waiting for more details on that horror comedy as well as season five is stranger things fans are insisting for more content in the upside down. After finishing the hefty final few episodes of season four netflix and the Duffer Brothers confirm the side favorite will have another season, but it will also be the last one renewal announcement. Also came with an open letter from the Stranger Things creators explaining that season five will wrap up the stories of everybody in Hawkins. So by the way, what were you doing at 20 years old? Are you directing movies? I was not and he also is in a band, he's a musician, he's very, very busy. So I was thinking earlier, I was like God 19 is insane to sort of direct your first movie. Has there been a younger person? I actually had to look this up And I know by the way our producers who are preparing for trivia on friday are already angry at me for figuring this out. Apparently there is if you look in the Guinness Book of World Records, so God Bista who at the age of seven, the professionally made full length movie called Love You baba seven years old. Can you imagine now? I know, I mean this is obviously different than steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and all these people making movies when their kids. This was actually a full length money back film by a seven year old. Like can you imagine what a seven year old would choose as a director? I know what I would have chosen. That's nothing I have to say. All these kid actors on Stranger Things, Sadie sink millie bobby Brown. They all have so many projects coming up. I think we're going to keep talking about them. Well after you have to think they might have potential in the spinoff series, the place, all of these things. Okay
