In Entertainment: 'Black Panther 2' Still on Top & Taylor Swift to Direct Disney Feature

why don't we take a look at the world of entertainment, shall we kids? It's time for your weekend box office update this weekend audiences suited up again for Black panther Wakanda forever. Disney's panther, Black panther sequel bringing an $11 million in its fifth week. The number two spot, Universal's holiday horror film, violent night that brought in 8.7 million in its second weekend and in the number three spot is Disney's Strange World that brought in 3.6 million in its third week. So it's pretty much a certified flop there given the fact that now at that film is going to be losing hundreds of millions of dollars for Disney Black panther Wakanda forever. Now, essentially the top earning movie of 2022 essentially in the same category now as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But all that's gonna change this next weekend because now avatar to officially coming out this friday already, you're starting to see the three D. Component to this bring in tons of money as well. Half of the $2 billion that it made for the original one was from three D theaters. Yeah, you made a really great point with that baker, you can charge so much more for three D. And it's so much more of an experience. We saw obviously, you know avatar really dominating with that back in the day but technology has changed. I wonder if people are still buying it and by the way, Weird news this morning, they announced the goal Globe nominations this morning, Best picture in the drama category avatar to it hasn't even been released yet and it's already getting the Best picture nomination, which is crazy to think. All right, let's shift gears here and talk about none other than taylor Swift because she's obviously pursuing her wildest dreams as usual and heading behind the camera, the artist signing a deal with Disney to direct her own feature film. The partnership comes as Swift begins her Oscar campaign for her short film All too well. Certainly Pictures, which is owned by Disney is producing the script written by the iconic singer songwriter Swift has already directed eight of her own music videos. Her short film all too well is based off of her song of the same name, starting Dylan O'brien and Sadie sink. You know, obviously the question here is what can't taylor Swift do and I think the answer is nothing. I mean she's getting accolades from even Guillermo Del Toro, who's one of My favorites and of course she is kind of an unparalleled storyteller. Her music videos are just an absolute delight. Yeah, and she is now on sort of the awards circuit to push this, this music video that's 10 minute music video potentially for a short film for the Oscar category. And look, she's got such a huge fan base if they can take down ticketmaster, they're going to follow her wherever she goes and if that's gonna be her next directorial debut right there, well that's what we have for an entertainment today.
