'Blonde' Rating Surprises

Ahead of its September 8 Netflix debut, the Marilyn Monroe drama Blonde received an NC-17 rating, which came as a surprise to many including the film's star Ana de Armas. She told L'Officiel, a French magazine, that she didn't understand why the movie received that rating. "I can tell you a number of shows or movies that are way more explicit with a lot more sexual content than Blonde," said Armas, in part.

Madonna x Britney…Again?

If you had to define what peak pop culture in 2022 looks like, a Britney Spears and Madonna collaboration might not be too far off. According to the original Material Girl, she's "gagging" for another collaboration. The two have crossed paths several times over the years and made magic, including the iconic kiss they shared on stage at the 2003 MTV VMAs.

Federline Speaks

Meanwhile, Kevin Federline, the ex-husband of Britney Spears, is opening up about his singer-wife's 13-year conservatorship and the strain it had on their children. Last month he told the UK's ITV that since the conservatorship ended, her sons "have decided they are not seeing her right now." Britney's public struggles are no secret as she has often taken to social media to vent about her family and business partners leading up to and after a judge ruled her conservatorship could end.

Brendan Fraser's Comeback

Brendan Fraser was perhaps one of the biggest movie stars of the late 1990s and early 2000s and he's making a comeback. Set to star in The Whale directed by Darren Aronofsky, Fraser is a severely obese English teacher looking to mend his relationship with a teenage daughter. Fraser told Vanity Fair he wants to be "reintroduced" to the world of acting and looks to welcome new audiences. "I want to learn from the people I'm working with at this point in my career. I've had such variety, a lot of high highs and low lows, so what I'm keen for, in the second half of my time doing this, is to feel like I'm contributing to the craft and I'm learning from it," he said.
