Cardi B. Mic Update

Cardi B. is adding to her list of wins after Las Vegas police declined to move forward with battery charges against the rapper.

Last weekend, during a performance at Drai's Nightclub, a concertgoer hurled liquid and what appeared to be ice cubes at her, which prompted an immediate reaction from Cardi. She tossed a microphone at the assailant in clear disapproval of the on-stage shower. Security stepped in and the show went on.

A day later, a police report was filed but according to Variety, Las Vegas Metro Police Department said, "After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney's Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case."

The incident was one of several to take place in recent weeks where artists were being struck by items tossed by audience members. As for the mic that is at the center of the story, it has been placed on Ebay for auction and currently has a bid of $99,000.

'The Office'

The Office star Leslie David Baker is refunding fans for contributing toward the creation of spinoff series featuring Stanley Hudson.

In 2020, Baker proposed the idea of crowdfunding the show and set a goal of $300,000. Fans poured into the project but have been waiting in the wings for an announcement. Fed up with waiting, many social media users began asking Baker what the status of the show was, to which he responded that continued delays, due to the pandemic and now the ongoing Hollywood strike, were stalling the progress of the show.

With more than 1,600 donations, Baker raised $336,450 but he's giving it all back. He took to social media and said, in part, "In light of the current economic situation, we felt that this was the best course of action." "FYI, although the total funded amount shown on our Kickstarter campaign page was stated as $336,450.53, that was not the actual final amount we received."

Baker is set to give back $110,629.81 after he said some initial pledges were lowered or "completely dropped and never collected once the campaign was completed."

Taylor Swift x Bryant Girls

Grab your tissues! Taylor Swift recently brightened the day for Kobe Bryant's youngest daughter.

Vanessa and the girls, Bianka and Natalia, went to Swift's show in Los Angeles at Sofi arena and during the performance, she took a second to acknowledge the family. But to take it a step further, she knelt down and hugged 6-year-old Bianka, then placed her black bowler "22" hat on her head.

The moment was captured on Vanessa's Instagram. It comes nearly a decade after Kobe Bryant appeared alongside Swift to "retire" her jersey in the then Staples Center to celebrate her 16th sold-out show at the venue.
