Another new album comes after news broke last month that Drake signed a huge multi faceted deal with Universal music group which is rumored to be worth $400 million. And I, we've been listening to a little bit of it today. So the vibe that I've been getting from it and by the way, I like it. I really like this new drink is giving you sort of old, maybe 2015 2016 sort of drink. Yeah. Yeah like one dance kind of thing. It's like it's chill. It's cool. It's like you put like a nice fuzzy drink sweater on and it's like really warm and comforting. I'm really so far into it, but it's interesting because on social media a lot of fans not liking it, there was one tweet I saw in particular that went viral, it's like it was a photo of a piece of pizza that was really sort of small and it said when your teacher says it's pizza day, but then this is all you get at school, that's the sort of pizza you get, that's sort of been the reaction, but I'm fine with it. I just listened to it before the show because you were playing it and I loved it too, I'm gonna download it, I love that vibe and drake is not the only one giving us new music. Let's talk about Beyonce blowing up the internet yesterday with a stunning announcement of her seventh studio album and we've got more details on renaissance Queen, Bey, her husband jay Z and his streaming platform title. Have each left signs on social media pointing to the album's release date, which will be july 29th. Variety is reporting the album will be a mix of dance and country songs, which I love tapping into Beyonce's texas roots. Now, after news of an album came british vogue released their july edition featuring Beyonce on the cover, she looked amazing british vogue was also able to get a listen to the new album. The magazine's Editor in chief says the singer's soaring vocals and fierce beats are stunning and definitely something to look forward to renaissance will feature 16 new tracks from Beyonce and it's less than two months away, She really is the queen of marketing. Okay, so how funny would that be? The british vogue editor was like yeah, listen to the album, it's gonna be great, this this I mean she's already sort of an icon, but this is now capital Eye icon, because when you have an artist that sort of transcends and shows different sort of elements of things that they do and different genres that they can do. I mean we we we make taylor swift and Madonna and all these other artists sort of do different sorts of lady gaga, do all these other sorts of genres. If you're now having Beyonce who's been the queen of R and B. Forever now doing country, which she sort of dabbled a little bit in that and she's doing disco. I mean this is like sort of a new version of Beyonce that is like this evolution of her as an icon, It is incredible. And literally when I heard disco, which by the way is my favorite kind of music, I literally wanted to combust, I was like so excited, I can't believe it's been six years since 2016 was when that came out, which is so crazy to think about that and look how many hits came from and how many millions of albums, like like tens of millions of albums that she was able to sell back then in 2016, this is gonna be amazing. The only thing I'm curious about is the Titley sort of putting this out there. And because jay Z has a financial sort of thing with title, is this album gonna be titled only for a certain period of time before then comes to the rest of the public. So I sort of want to, I'm curious to sort of see how title sort of fits into all of that. I have to get title. I know, but that's how a lot of people were with Kanye's album dropped at one point and same thing with jay Z's as well. Meanwhile, chris Evans has a very clear message to those who have a problem with increasing diversity and representation on screen, quote, those people are idiots, the actor stars in Disney's new movie Lightyear, It's facing bans and restrictions in parts of the Southeast Asia and the Middle East. That over a scene featuring a same sex kiss, here's what Evans says in a recent Reuters television interview, take a look, Human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that's that's what that's what makes us good and and you know, when that happens, there's always gonna be people who are uh afraid and unaware and and trying to hold on to what was before. Other recent blockbusters that have been censored for a similar reason includes Doctor Strange, two internals and west side story as well. Like chris Evans has been very adamant and a huge supporter of the L. G. B. T. Q community for very, very long time. His brother is openly gay and I sort of love this when you have a star basically, you know, we've seen with with other stars who are worried about how it would based off. If you say something bad about china or you see something else about about another country they sort of retract and they sort of apologize because they're worried about how the public perception will be about them. He doubles down here and I really sort of appreciate that Let's talk about the movie not getting great reviews, but I still think it's gonna be amazing. I think we're, yeah, it's still, I think it's gonna be, it's gonna do one or two at the box office probably this weekend, likely. I've seen some estimates that maybe maybe about 75 to $100 million. They're expecting it to pull in for this weekend. But yeah, reviews not as good. They're saying it's not even gonna get as, whereas Toy Story the last story, which I think was in 2017 or 2018 where it got over $100 million. Um But yeah, reviews not as stellar on something like this, but it doesn't matter. I think last week really showed with Jurassic world and there's sort of abysmal ratings. It's it's been getting in reviews on it, it brought in bonanza amounts of money at the box office, it dethrone top top gun at the box office. So I think right now in the summer blockbuster season, I don't think people are caring about reviews right now. All right, let's talk about Jon Snow knows nothing and apparently no one knows anything about HBO's post Game of Thrones plans. The network is an early development on its first sequel to the fantasy drama and this is the part you did not see coming. The series will center around the fan favorite character, Jon Snow, according to the Hollywood reporter Kit Harrington is attached to reprise the role. The sequel is part of several game of Thrones spinoffs at HBO and HBO max. The prequel series, House of the Dragons will be the first to arrive that premieres really soon actually, august 21st. Finally, like I feel like we've been talking about all these spinoffs forever. Like when did this show, when did Game of Thrones get off the air, like I feel like it is, I mean I know they tried to sort of get some of these spin offs off the ground, but I feel like this is sort of a mist window of an opportunity for for the whole game of Thrones franchise because they never really able to sort of you know the momentum, the momentum it has been so many years since that shows off the air. I mean I'm sure it's gonna do fine but sort of has game of Thrones left the cultural zeitgeist now. And are we on to sort of other sort of franchises now? Like well will it basically be anywhere as close as successful as it was in the past? I love game of Thrones but I'm with you. I don't know if I'm gonna watch it and also I hope it's good. I hope they don't drop the ball because well and think of how heavily criticized the last season was in the last episode in particular but the last season was and so is there still that hunger? I mean there might be given the fact that also amazon is spending 25 to $30 million an episode for their Lord of the Rings franchise. There still is an interest I guess in fantasy but I feel like they should have had a game of their own spin off a year or two after the franchise was over
