Woody Allen is Not Retired

Controversial film director Woody Allen is clearing the air on his alleged retirement from the industry. Over the weekend, a Spanish newspaper reported that Allen expressed an intent to retire from filmmaking to dedicate more time to writing. Shortly after the news went viral, representatives for the director released a statement saying, in part, "Woody Allen never said he was retiring, nor did he say he was writing another novel." Apparently, Allen isn't keen on making films that go straight to streaming or making the move to that medium shortly after theatrical release. He's currently shooting his 50th film in Paris.
