Lizzo Update

Just days after a slew of serious allegations ranging from sexual assault, harassment and being the source of hostile work environment were waged against pop star Lizzo, the artist known for uplifting women and being body positive, is breaking her silence.

Lizzo took to social media to address fans and defend herself against critics and allegations made by her former dancers.

“Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed. These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional,” she said in a statement.

Even after the lawsuit's filing, others not involved in the case came out in support of the dancers to share their own personal experiences in working with Lizzo. Many echoed the same sentiments about her being inappropriate and difficult to work with.

Jonathan Majors

Actor Jonathan Majors will have a bit more time before he his set to face trial on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges.

Prosecutors in New York asked a judge to delay proceedings because their case was not yet ready to be presented. Attorneys for the city are said to still be collecting discovery in the case.

Majors was arrested in March after police responded to a 911 call, which representatives for Majors insist he placed. Police said a woman was reportedly assaulted and noted that she had minor injuries on her head and neck.

Majors' former management company Entertainment 360, as well as his public relations team, The Lede Company, has since dropped him. No word on his status in Hollywood as of yet but he did appear in the trailer for season 2 of Disney+'s Loki.

Ken on Billboard

I would be a liar if I said I saw this one coming. Ryan Gosling can add billboard hitmaker to his list of career achievements.

Gosling, who played Ken, in the Barbie movie found a bit of solo success with the song I'm Just Ken which featured during the film's promotional run. The song debuted at number 87 on the Hot 100 chart, which is a pretty big deal considering how many songs are up for one of the coveted spots weekly.

Gosling is no stranger to the microphone. Before making it big in Hollywood, he was part of a rock duo called Dead Man's Bones, who had a self-titled album in 2009. And if you're really a student of the game, you might recall him making his voice heard in the 1990s on Mickey Mouse Club.
