And for balance, the former president also shared his list of <a href="https://twitter.com/BarackObama/status/1551923232327991298?s=20&amp;t=0KB0cf_fwCST6IQnM1i7WQ">summer reads</a>.</div><h2>Shawn Mendes Nixes World Tour</h2><div class="block">Shawn Mendes has pulled out of the remaining dates on Wonder: The World Tour after canceling several appearances over the last few weeks. He took to <a href="https://twitter.com/ShawnMendes/status/1552294155505651712?s=20&amp;t=0KB0cf_fwCST6IQnM1i7WQ">Twitter</a> to inform fans of his struggles to return to on-stage fitness and said he would come back stronger than ever. In the meantime, Mendes said he will continue to make music for his fans.</div><h2>Drake: Pollution Papi or Champagne Papi?</h2><div class="block">People on social media are making a point to call out wealthy people who contribute to pollution. Last week, Kylie Jenner came under fire after fans discovered she used her private jet to take a 17-minute flight, calling her a "climate criminal," and now social media users have focused their attention on Drake. The rapper has received similar blowback for allegedly taking short flights, but he's fighting the allegation. Drizzy defended himself in an Instagram comment and said, "This is just them moving planes to whatever airport they are being stored at for anyone who was interested in the logistics." </div>

In Entertainment: Obama's Grooves, Shawn Mendes Tour & Drake's Jet Backlash

first, let's kick off the show Asia with a little music moment now. Barack Obama, he's now shared his summer playlist already and we've got a mix of just about everything on there. On top of the list is Beyonce's new track, Break My Soul. It seems like the former president just as excited as we are for the new album renaissance that's coming out later this week, friday to be exact, number 44 is playlist also includes harry styles music for for a Sushi Restaurant Kendrick, Lamar's Diehard and Jack White's take on the R and B song, I'm shaken bad bunny Kacey Musgraves and even the Boss, Bruce Springsteen making an appearance by the way. No surprise that the boss is on the list, considering the fact that the longtime friends share a podcast together titled Renegades born in the USA. But Obama's summer playlist had us thinking about some of our favorite songs here at Cheddar news. So we compiled a list of some of our favorite summer jams that we can't get enough of. There's about damn time by our girl Lizzo massive by drake. Oh and that song potion by Calvin Harris. Just to name a few. There's a list of the entire Between Bells crew, our producers and everybody else that has put this together. So what is the song of the summer in your opinion, Asia? I put, I like you by post Malone and Dozy Cat on there because it's such a vibe and also Lizzo about damn Time. Of course, I feel like I joke about this with you all the time. I got the basic bee picks Okay, so there are so many really good ones. You have charli XcX that is on there as well. There's new Jessie ware song that everybody is losing their minds over. I mean maybe just the gays, but we're really, really excited about this new Jessie ware song that just came out about a week or so ago. And then by the way, this is a big debate and I believe this, I will go to my grave on this. The song of the summer for literally the last 20 years will always be stars are blind by paris Hilton, I swear is still the greatest song of the summer. Summer after summer after summer. Yes, Oh my gosh, it's such a beachy vibe and also the music video to this day, it's like burned into my brain. It's so good. So I'll die on that hill with you. I also just want to go back to President Obama's list here. Can you imagine him like dancing around Too Bad bunny because I feel like we need it. No, and it's so funny because he's got some new songs on there, obviously like the Beyonce song, but he also has some throwbacks. He's got Fatboy Slim on there, like praise you and all these other ones. Just shows, he's got sort of this big array of different talents that he's into. I love it. The variety is there, but let's switch gears here after postponing the past few weeks of shows, Shawn Mendez canceling the rest of his world tour, the artist revealed he's just not ready to get back on the road again. Mendez wrote, quote after speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it's become more clear, I need to take the time, I've never taken personally to ground myself and come back stronger and the treat you better singer says he hopes to resume his tour after some much needed time off, but in the meantime, he plans to continue to record new music for fans wonder the world tour was scheduled to run through august of next year. So taking a look at the social media reaction, I was kind of expecting people to be unhappy about this just because sometimes the world is an ugly place, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that amongst some of the darkness in this world, there are supportive fans out there for him so I hope he's able to take this time and get recalibrated and back better than ever, especially, I feel like this is so relatable. We all sometimes need to take a moment just reorient and make sure we're there 100% mental health wise, even celebrities, especially high profile celebrities that have to deal with a lot of the backlash from fans when they make decisions like this. Absolutely and you, because he has such a big fan base, you know that the moment he goes back on tour, the fans are going to be there, the fans are going to be incredibly supportive of him. We knew something was up all the way back in december asia when he had posted that he was having problems with social media, clearly social media playing a role in all of this. But also there's some larger sort of demons here that he's having to deal with. But what I love so much about this and we see this with athletes and other entertainers out there, more of the open discussion about mental health struggles right now, just sort of saying that we're all sort of in this together and that we all sort of, we're struggling right now across the board. And so everybody's basically, and I'm with you. I I saw the same thing on his instagram. Everybody just pouring out love and support for him. You would think that everybody would be upset about this, but he's getting nothing but love and support. So I think that is amazing. Meanwhile somebody's not getting a ton of support that's drake right now. And it's different because he's firing back at critics who are accusing him and a group of other celebs for being climate criminals. We told you at this story a few weeks ago for taking incredibly short flight as in 10 minutes or maybe even less. Yeah, a Twitter account called select jets has been tracking these flights, Drake was reported to take his jet on a 14 minute flight from Toronto to Hambleton. However, Drake took to Instagram to share his side of things. He said quote, this is just them moving planes to whatever airport they're being stored at. For anybody who's interested in logistics, nobody takes that flight was drake tried to squash some of that criticism. Well, the noise while it got louder people commented saying everything from quote, it's still using the same amount of fuel regardless of whether it's carrying people or not. To quote stop, shut up, stop, polluting our air. So, Kylie Jenner also was criticized because apparently on this, this twitter account which by the way, I just started following just a little while ago and it is so fascinating. It's at cell objets. It'll be like Mark Wahlberg took an 11 minute flight to phoenix. It'll be like Kylie Jenner took like an 11 minute flight in Los Angeles. You know, like all these random celebs and look maybe drake is 100% right. Maybe they are just moving these planes purely for logistical reasons. But also the fans and these people are posting are absolutely right. Also, it's still wasting tons of fuel like hundreds of gallons of fuel. It is still putting tons of carbon dioxide into the, into the atmosphere. So yes, maybe it's not drake taking an 11 minute flight. It's still actually not the best thing out there. Yeah. From june to july that jet that drake is being accused of taking uh taking has admitted five tons of C. 02. And this is why I love the internet because while yes, I'm sure there are excuses across the board and we could talk about security and the health and safety of these celebrities, which is very valid. It's also like we're making these changes for the planet. We're worried about our future. And then at the same time in one month a jets emitting five tons of C. 02 which is not okay. So I do think there needs to be regulation here and people should be held accountable at the very least there should be transparency of knowing what exactly is going on. I want to point out chris um chris Evans, chris Evans is who we're interviewing, I think who is the one from coldplay chris martin? Chris martin. Chris martin, He signaled this long ago, we covered it on between bells and even said, look, it's problematic and they focused their to our cool place tour on changing this using sustainable fuel, which is still an issue. But there needs to be something done. I think especially as we're looking at the future of the planet totally. And by the way, drake according to this website, the worst admit er as you mentioned of all of all of all of this carbon dioxide. So my question is if he's not taking these short flights, why is his plane moving so much? That might be another sort of question that, you know how sticky again baker, I guess. Okay.
