We're starting trending today with some sad news actor Richard Roundtree known for his iconic role as private detective John Shaft. He died, he was 81 years old. The actor's manager said he'd been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Roundtree died at his home in Los Angeles. Yesterday Roundtree, he starred in multiple shaft movies and television film series in which he played a suave private detective who fought crime. The role was described as hotter than Bond, cooler than the than bullet. The actor revived his shaft character in a film starring Samuel L Jackson in 2000. According to a post from the Actors Union, they're gonna continue discussing how to put an end to the ongoing strike where actors are fighting for better pay residuals in streaming and protections from A I. And lastly season 39 of the challenge battle for new Champion premieres on MTV at 8 p.m. Eastern time. This season features a new group of reality stars who compete in really insane.
