'Succession' Final Season

There's some sad news for fans of HBO's Succession. The show's creator and showrunner Jesse Armstrong revealed that the upcoming fourth season will be its last. "You know, there's a promise in the title of 'Succession.' I've never thought this could go on forever," he said in an interview with the New Yorker. He would go on to say, "And I feel sad, and I have the circus-has-left feeling that everyone gets who works on a production that's good, and this particularly so." The series first launched in 2018, and the final season will begin on March 26.

Corden's Late Night Special

Late night host James Corden is also set to make his final curtain call on CBS — at least for now. The Late Late Show will end with a primetime special featuring Tom Cruise, with the pair rumored to have a Lion King number tucked away for the big send off. As far as Corden's slot on the network goes, Paramount Global and CBS are rebooting Comedy Central's @midnight game show.

Pennywise Origin Story

Horror fans are in for a treat as another Pennywise project is in the works. HBO Max is producing a prequel drama series based on the Stephen King novel It. "I'm excited that the story of Derry, Maine's most haunted city, is continuing, and I'm glad Andy Muschietti is going to be overseeing the frightening festivities, along with a brain trust including his talented sister, Barbara," King said, touting the director and producer siblings from the recent films to Deadline. The project is still in its infancy, but the first episode is being written by Jason Fuchs, who also was a co-producer on It Chapter Two.
