<h2>Warner Bros. Changes</h2><div class="block">There have been a few major shake-ups from Warner Bros. Discovery concerning its expected slate of film releases. <i>Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom</i>, which was set for a March 2023 release, has been pushed back to Christmas Day 2023, and <i>Shazam! Fury of the Gods</i> was also pushed back to premiere in March instead of December 2022. Warner Bros. also announced that two HBO Max projects, the <i>House Party</i> reboot and <i>Evil Dead</i>, will now be shown in theaters in December 2022 and April 2023 respectively.&nbsp;</div><h2>'Batgirl' Screenings</h2><div class="block">Do you remember the news about<i> Batgirl </i>never seeing the light of day because of priority changes at Warner Bros.? Despite the movie being scrapped, apparently, people are attending secret "funeral screenings" of the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, on the Warner lot. There is a caveat, though. It seems only the cast and crew have been allowed to watch.</div><h2>Olivia Wilde Opens Up</h2><div class="block">Olivia Wilde has finally opened up about her split from Jason Sudeikis and being served custody papers in the middle of a presentation at Cinemacon earlier this year. "The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required thought," <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/features/olivia-wilde-harry-styles-sex-scenes-dont-worry-darling-1235347929/">she told Variety.</a> Wilde and Sudeikis were in a relationship from 2011 to 2020.

In Entertainment: Warner Film Delays, 'Batgirl' Funeral & Olivia Wilde Speaks Out

Warner Brothers reshuffling their upcoming film slate and we definitely got to talk about it. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has now been pushed back from March 17th 2023 to now december 25th christmas of that same year. The theory of the gods was supposed to come out in december of this year but has now been moved to March of next year. That's the Aquaman Sequels old premiere date to HBO max titles. Also now heading to the big screen. The Lebron James Maverick carter house party reboot is set for december the 9th 2022 while horror film Evil Dead Rise will now open april 21st of next year. Now Warner Brothers also looking to make its mark on the Super Bowl weekend next year with a film slated for february the 10th. Now Asia, we know Warner Brothers especially their new Ceo David Zaslav in cost cutting mode, we're gonna talk about Batgirl in a second, Getting rid of that saved the company $90 million. So you also have to think that money had to play a role in all of this as well because marketing for all of these movies are incredibly expensive. And if you want people to go to the theaters, you want the marketing to be just right. So now, instead of having three films in the next five months or six months, you essentially now have five over the next 16 months, which is much easier in terms of the marketing strategy sort of group them all together. Yeah, you mentioned it exactly. I think often times the audience just isn't aware of how much marketing goes into this and we can talk about it with that girl, you know, we're about to jump into it right now but it basically doubles the cost for production for a film to get the word of mouth out there for people to actually go see it. Um and also Warner Brothers getting new leadership here, re focusing their efforts on these tent pole productions on the blockbusters in theater instead of in streaming. We're seeing the re repercussions with this movie shake up on the schedule, Warner brothers Discovery also merging HBO max and Discovery and we're waiting for that in 2023 which I think is also really interesting to think the backdrop of this story as well. Absolutely. And the Layoffs that have come from all of that as well. But let's talk back girl, because I mentioned that because the shift in Warner brothers release dates comes as shakeups for other DC properties, most notably for Batgirl, the scrap movie now is being secretly screen. Yes, secretly screened on the Warner brothers lot according to the Hollywood reporter and people on twitter have a lot to say about it. The so called funeral screening is said to be for people who worked on the movie, both cast and crew as well as representatives and executives. However social media users well they're kind of annoyed that the movie is finished and is ready for screenings but us the general public will never get to see it. One user even offered to pay people to see the movie. You see the movie to leak it as a public service. So maybe Batgirl is the next Zack Snyder's Justice League an abandoned movie that eventually sees the light of day. So asia this clearly is so crazy that you know people are able to go see this but the general public will not be able to. I mean it costs you probably nothing just to put it on HBO max. So you disappointed that one that they scrapped the project but that you'll be able to never be able to see this film. Yeah baker it's interesting because I think you and I are very adjacent when it comes to D. C. And also marvel. So I'm not necessarily disappointed because I'm not a die hard fan. But I know a lot of fans out there are really reacting to this especially on twitter as you mentioned asking for this to be leaked to the public. And the the reason why it's not just simply going on streaming according to it was variety. The reason all of this is happening because of taxes because it all comes down to the dollar signs. The studio essentially gets to write this off and they couldn't do that if they put it on streaming instead of putting it in theaters. Um And I think it's worth noting again I bring it all back to the dollars of everything. This cost $75 million.90 million dollars because of Covid, it was gonna cost about like 30 to 50 if they promoted it. So it's not big enough to be a tent pool, not quite small enough to be on streamers. Yeah, it's sort of like the Goldilocks, it's the middle ground in all of them. All right. Meanwhile, we've got to talk about this wild interview in april Olivia. Wilde was excited to introduce your film. Don't worry darling at cinemacon. However, things didn't go quite as planned as her former partner, Jason Sudeikis, with whom she had a relationship with from 2011 to 2020 infamously served her custody papers during her presentation. Well while now addressing the incident publicly for the very first time in a fascinating new cover story with variety. She called the onstage situation earlier this year, quote unquote, appalling and also vicious. The actor labeled it a breach of security, saying quote, the hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges plus special covid tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave wrist bands that were necessary to even get access to the event. This is something that required forethought, but the mama too, she's a professional and she didn't miss a beat when she was disrupted by that Manila envelope while went on to say quote, sadly, it is not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean there's a reason I left that relationship boom. Oh that is like quite the sort of thing right there against Jason Sudeikis and by the way, we should note there basically in a custody battle with their kids, she's planning to apparently move to London to go live with harry styles. Jason Sudeikis wants the kids to stay in Los Angeles. Apparently the judge siding with Olivia while in this particular case. So I don't know if that's something that we can sort of read into on something like this, but this is what I want to clarify on that really because did she move to London because he was filming ted lasso. I thought that was the situation. So she's between London and L. A. He's between London and new york and I think he wanted custody to happen in new york, correct, correct, correct, correct. You're absolutely right. Um sorry, But either way the judge siding with her in this particular situation, not with Jason Sudeikis, but thank you so much for the clarification and but this is just so fascinating because it gives you such a different perspective of this relationship that this couple had because this was such a big a list couple for so long. Yeah, it's really unfortunate and it reminds you of movies, you know, you see tv shows when people are serve their divorce papers and like the worst possible opportunity and you feel bad for them and you realize it can happen in real life when things get ugly and I really don't know whose side I'm on in this situation because she has a really valid point in that he had to go through hurdles for it to happen during cinemacon and at the same time you would hope that he wouldn't want things to be messy for their kids. But either way she's kind of bringing it back in this interview saying it really takes away from the cast and the crew of Don't Worry darling which is unfortunate in the moment but at the same time I am so hyped for this movie. Have you seen the trailer in court? Yes, so so true and by the way both her and harry styles very being very revealing in both interviews that he just did recently with Rolling Stone talking about his sexuality and why he wanted to do the music for this movie. I am so into this this looks such like such a good movie. I also want the best for both of these parties in this couple. Especially Olivia wilde in this directorial moment because I don't know if you've done any like research into how she runs the production that she's a part of not just don't worry darling but we know book smart, she also has another directorial debut that I think got pushed back or a directorial project and she really changes the way that production happens on these sets as a woman later really queuing in all of the different casting crew. So every no one knows exactly what's happening at any given time and just being more transparent about things. So I really want her to win with this project and so many others because I think she's changing the way that Hollywood operates. So it's unfortunate again that all of this is happening as she should be having a moment to shine and there should be a fanfare for this movie coming up. But hopefully things move forward a little bit less messy for both parties. Absolutely, so well said and book Smart by the way, one of my fav, I love that movie so much.
