Now, the Georgia Department of Agriculture said yesterday the hornet has the potential to threaten honey production. And native pollinators official said they will set up traps to find out if there are more in the area. They plan on destroying them if that is the case. Now, the yellow legged hornet is native to tropical and subtropical areas in Southeast Asia. It is also prevalent in much of Europe, parts of the Middle East and parts of Asia.
