2.12 Americans Filed For Unemployment Insurance Last Week, Numbers Continue Downward Trend
Weekly jobless claims numbers are out, showing more than 2.12 million Americans filed for unemployment last week, down from 2.4 million the week before. That brings the number of Americans who have filed for unemployment in past 2 months to 40 million. GDP data also out this morning, showing GDP contracted by 5% in the first quarter, a little more than previously believed. To break down the latest economic data, we spoke to Kevin Miller, CIO at Evaluator Funds.

1.87 Million Americans Filed For Unemployment Insurance Last Week
1.87 million Americans filed for unemployment last week. That's down from the 2.1 million that filed the week before. Despite it being a large number, it's the first time in a couple months the weekly jobless claims dropped below 2 million. We spoke to Jeff Chang, Managing Director at Cboe Vest.
