Katie Ledecky Named AP Female Athlete of the Year

Katie Ledecky joining a very exclusive group, earning another Associated Press female athlete of the year Award. Ledecky's honor comes after winning all four of her races at june's world championship and breaking fellow athlete, Natalie Coughlin's record for world swimming medals. The 25 year old Ledecky also became the first swimmer to win five world titles in a row and extend a decade long winning streak in the eighth 100 m freestyle. She is now the sixth woman to the Ap athlete award multiple times in the past 30 years chris and I know you're with me on this, we love a strong woman who is finally getting the accolades that she deserves. I was reading an interview from her and this is the only athlete I heard say this. She said that she's one of the few swimmers who loves to train even more than racing because I think a lot of people just hate the working out aspect or whatever it is. She's like, I love racing, but I love going to practice every day. It's what I get up for. It's that kind of attitude. I think that gets you on these elite lists and that says something because I mean it's a lot of time by yourself. No. Sounds underwater.
