Labor Day Weekend Games for All Ages

Labor Day weekend just around the corner. And if you're planning to spend time with friends and family and need some fun games to pass the time. Toy Insiders. Madeleine Buckley is back and just compile the perfect list. Welcome back. Madeleine. Hi. Thank you for having me. Yes. So a lot of people take long road trips during weekends. So which activities are you gonna suggest for the road? All right. So we're gonna start with a new kit from Creola down here called Xel and it's great for the car. Not only because it comes in this envelope that all the pieces fit inside great for on the go, but the market are super washable and it's a really focused activity. You put the color guide over you're in each dot So it's really gonna keep kids busy as they create these really fun colorful images. You can see the monkey that I finished in front there. So it's just a really great focus activity that kind of puts a new spin on Creola coloring. And if you're lucky enough to get some nice weather, I think we're expecting nice weather here in the northeast. What are some outdoor activities we can do. Oh, I brought so many start with couch face off. So, couches, if you're familiar have some fun. So, Spiky balls, this set can be set up on a table in the parking lot. Even hang on a wall and you're gonna take turns tossing these, there's three different games you can play, try to score the most points with your couch balls. It's simple. It's very easy to learn. and a variety of ages. Yeah. Very tactile feel too. But I'm sure you've heard of pickle ball all their age right now. So much so that it has been matched up with another popular outdoor game for pickleball can jam. So if you wanna test out though, this is just a regular pickle ball ball and racket, but it also comes with can jam cans. So instead of getting a frisbee into this can you're actually gonna team up with your partner to try to get the ball hit into or hit the can. So it's just a really fun mash up. It's great if it's a new twist, if you already love pickle ball, but if you're learning the game, it's a kind of cool way to get introduced. Do you wanna try this Michelle? This is gonna be the worst. Ok. All right. No, try it. Oh, actually a few hours of practice and another fun game to play outside. Madeleine is the ribbon ninja game. What is that? Put this on your wrist, this game players have these wrist attachments that have ribbons on them and you're trying to guard your ribbons while trying to get your opponent's ribbons off their wrist, your ribbons. And with the last ribbons wins the game. So it's very simple, but good for a yes. Exactly. You got it. So, it's kind of like playing football but without having to run around as much. Yeah, you might have to run around if you've got some nimble because it comes with a little ninja headbands. So you really get into the, into the vibe. I'll give you back your losing ribbon, losing ribbons. And what about some good indoor activities just in case the weather isn't that great? Yes. So, I've brought some really fun games starting with chicken versus hot dog, which is about as fun and silly as it sounds. So I know we're already eyeing this. This is one of the, the chicken that comes with it. You can go and take a hold on it. You're gonna get different physical challenges. So I bought a big version of one of the cards that you're gonna try a single flip. So, like you said, like the water bottle, we try to flip it and you have three chances to see if you can do it guys. Wait, I just wanna ask for a camera. Where can we flip the water? Yeah, see if we can do here. I'm gonna move this. Ok. Try to see. Ok. So it's gonna be fun. It's all right. Right. Ok. It's like it's, this is hard because you have narrow spots to toss it on to. Oh, that was, let's keep up with those indoor activities. What else do we have here? All right. So, I think we can all agree that building a fort is a classic indoor activity, but it could not be made any easier than with the National Geographic Epic for its play set. So I'm gonna give you this to just start mascara with. It's so easy to connect these different pieces. You can just see that they slot in the piece. They're flexible more than 70 pieces. So kids, adults so easy to construct a for it. My favorite piece though is it comes with these little clips so that you can attach a sheet or a blanket for. So it was not around when we were right. It just makes it a snap, makes it easy to stay structural. It's, it's great and a creative and also teaching some stem too. So there's just a lot of benefits. Absolutely. Ok. So what about other games? Let's say you have younger kids? Sure. So a lot of these are for, you know, the slightly older six and up. But even as young as three, you can enjoy the Grizzly Bear game. So, who wants to put a bear headband? So this game is designed for kids as young as three because you can do a bear paw. And so this game you put the bear headbands on, there's a right next to these kids can enjoy my head. No, that's ok. But you have a paw, you have a headband and you can toss the bear foods and Paul can catch them. And so kids are actually gonna be learning not to think about the fun social media content and videos you can get when you put the adults in these bear headbands and paws. So it's so much fun for the whole family. You telling this story. This is amazing. Do you, do you have a favorite here? Madeline? Oh, that is so hard. I mean, I think the bear is silly and Ridic, but I think all of these are going to get kids out and moving all of the outdoor games, which is something that, you know, it's great for family time and you can get away from the screens and everybody out and getting those quality memories together. There's honestly, I would play every single one of these. I I'm really looking forward to this too. Yeah. Everything, everything. All right.
