Laird Superfood has gone public. Trading under the ticker L-S-F on the New York Stock Exchange, the company is a plant-based, functional foods company founded by big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton and Paul Hodge. Laird Superfood priced its IPO at $22 a share late Tuesday, but surged at the start of Wednesday's session, beginning trading at over $33 a share and closed the day at over $40 a share.The co-founders of Laird Superfoord, Laird Hamilton and Paul Hodge, joined Closing Bell to discuss the timing of its IPO and why it decided to go forward.
