Hotel workers in Las Vegas reached a tentative labor agreement with the Win Resorts. This deal between the culinary and bartenders unions and the casino operator averts the threat of a strike by 5000 employees. The culinary union says the agreement came just three hours before the strike deadline which was set for 5 a.m. pacific time today. This deal includes the largest wage increase ever negotiated in the union's history. It follows deals that the union reached with Caesars Entertainment on Wednesday and MGM Resorts yesterday which covered a total of about 30,000 workers.
