The U.S. presence in Afghanistan has ended. After two decades of war and thousands of lives lost, the last of the U.S. forces have flown out of Afghanistan ahead of Tuesday's withdrawal deadline. While the troop presence will be gone, the U.S. is still expected to remain engaged in Afghanistan, especially after the terrorist bombing at the Kabul airport last week that killed 13 U.S. service members and hundreds of Afghans.
