Legal Expert Says Case Against Trump Is 'Quite Strong' 

I do want to bring back our legal expert to talk more about what today means, what's going to happen. One of the differences between this case and what we saw play out in a courthouse in New York City in April is that there aren't going to be any cameras allowed inside this courtroom because it's a federal court, no cameras allowed inside a federal court. And so I want to bring back our legal expert Robin Nunn Robin, since we're not going to see any imagery inside of the courthouse, what is going to happen today as the former president walks in, what can our viewers expect to take place? Yeah, I, I mean, I think it's going to be, um, you know, uh quite AAA scene. It, it already looks like, you know, people are, are, are hitting the streets. I think that it's going to be quite a spectacle. It was quite a spectacle, obviously in New York too. Um And I, I think that because this is such a historic moment, um I think, you know, everyone needs to take a pause and really reflect on the fact that, you know, while Donald Trump is obviously not like anyone else. You know, this is the first time in, in the history of this country that a former president of the United States has been indicted on federal charges. And you know, this in no way should denigrate or devalue what happened in Manhattan. That was also a serious charge. But this is, this is too a serious charge and, and being in a federal court is something where, you know, jail time could obviously follow rather quickly, um, in, in no time. So I think this is a solemn moment and I think the walk into the federal courthouses is going to be one with seriousness we had seen just recently. Robin former President Trump lose two key defense attorneys before this court appearance in Miami. What is the state of the former president's defense? And can he gather support to make his own case in the wake of those departures? Yes, it sounds like, um, Mr Trump may be looking at a new counsel, um or additional counsel that may have expertise in Florida that may particularly benefit him in this particular jurisdiction as we've sort of discussed. There are a lot of cases coming up all over the country now against Mr Trump. This one is in Florida and in Florida, as there are attorneys that are barred in that particular jurisdiction, this obviously there might be um arguments in, in case law that'll be particularly persuasive in this court and I, I think he's going to be looking for outside counsel that has a particular, um, skills and expertise in, with, with regard to this espionage act, um, claim as, and as well as the conspiracy theory that perhaps, um, know the Florida courts, um, a bit better, um, than some other attorneys that he's working with.
