Its pixel Seven Pro is priced at $899 and is slightly bigger than the pixel seven model priced at $599. The Pro has a 6.7 inch LED display and lots of camera upgrades in including a powerful telephoto lens and new macro focus mode for close ups. But experts say the pixel seven with its 6.3 inch display still an excellent value for the money, they say the smartphone offers flagship level performance that includes AI and machine learning capabilities. It also offers a lot of the same software upgrades found in the pixel Seven Pro and though a small player in smartphones category. Overall google sales are accelerating it ships three million phones in the first half of this year. That's up 131% from just a year ago and that's according to data according to tracking company analysis and in other news google also unveiled its first ever smartwatch. So the pixel watch is billed as the ultimate accessory for pixel phone user and it's bringing the best of google services to your wrist. So this includes apps like gmail, google maps, google wallet and Youtube music but that's only half of the story. It also touts the best fitness tracking in the category entirely backed by that Fitbit, which is a company acquired in 2019 for $2.1 billion. It also allows the pixel to pair with the Fitbit app and it's giving where detailed analysis of their sleep and activity patterns. But starting at $349 the pixel watch is expected to face some tough obstacles for adoption even as sales of the Apple watch have slipped this year as consumers delay purchases because of inflation or opt out for cheaper rivals. So the pixel watch is more expensive than the lowest Apple watch which is the S. E. Model. While its app, which already works with watches from other companies like Samsung and Google also released more details about its pixel tablet that scheduled to launch somewhere next year. And while the company is still keeping details like screen size resolution and ram under wraps, it did share the design will look similar to older phones like the pixel three with a rounded rectangle shape and a matte glass back and while the pixel is gaining momentum, it still has a lot to do to catch up. So during our alphabet's earnings call later this, earlier this year, Ceo Sundar Pichai said the pixel series six is the fastest selling pixel ever and that the company has set an all time quarterly sales record. But Google makes most of its money from advertising and it doesn't report revenue directly from its hardware products. It reports a quote other revenue segment, which includes hardware, the play store and non advertising Youtube revenue. In the second quarter of the this year, google said other it's other revenue was $6.55 billion which is down slightly from the 6.62 billion the year prior.
