Do it for the 'gram - that's the motto of many millennials. From going out on the weekends to going on vacations, young people consider the Instagram potential of a location before deciding to go. That trend is starting to show up when it comes to buying homes as well. Rather than simply popping a bottle of champagne, new millennial home buyers are staging elaborate photo shoots after closing on a home. Some of them feature props like "first home" signs, or heart-shaped hand poses around freshly cut keys. According to a recent report from the National Association of Realtors, people aged 36 and younger represent the largest group of home buyers, at 34% of the market. Two-thirds of those young buyers were first-time home buyers, which means this Instagram trend isn't likely to go anywhere anytime soon.
