Meta social media services. Facebook and Instagram are under fire for their content policies. CNN spoke to multiple experts who claim the company has a double standard when it comes to reproductive health. It reports meta is it is continuing to remove Fort and Shadow banned female reproductive health content such as menstrual Health. A report from the Center for Intimacy Justice in January of 2022 said meta turned down ads from women's health groups claiming the content was adult, however, it did not do the same for ads focused on men's health. Now, in response to the report, meta says they've updated their rules to be more inclusive. But in April, the C I filed a complaint with the Federal trade Commission claiming meta is still rejecting ads aimed at women and people of underrepresented genders. Now, according CNN sources quote, the policy says that reproductive health is allowed but in practice, their technology is still rejecting it. Kristen your thoughts here. Well, I think we've discussed it on this show first and foremost. I think there needs to be way more research, way more conversation about women's health and many of my female lady boss, doctors would strongly agree with me on that front. And it is unfortunate, I mean, that the conversation that should be out there, we know the pink tax has been something that women had to pay extra for, for decades. Right. And that's finally coming into the vernacular of speech with needed change and wanted change. But on top of that other apps are ahead of meta in this department. My fitbit, for instance, like menstruation is one of the six prompts to identify your overall health. And I think about my own journey. I mean, why was this not a bigger conversation earlier on? It is a holistic element of our health every single month? That's actually, you know, I have my Apple watch and that's something I never even thought of to track something like that as meta is under fire as it should be because these conversations need to be had. Meta is not the only one. There's so many apps are ahead of this. Many like meta are way behind. So I'm glad, you know, the study was done and we're talking about it.
