It sounds like Hannah, what we know amid this, this summer has been a scorcher and not only in the US, but the whole world has been facing record breaking and historical high temperatures. So Cheddar's Ashley Master reports. It's pretty hot here on the streets of New York City, but we're not only having a national heat wave, we're having a global heat wave. The heat index value in Iran reached 152 degrees. On Sunday, the southwest has had a weeks long heat wave and wildfires are breaking out globally because of the hot temperatures. Experts say during heat waves, it's important to stay out of the sun as much as possible. They say use an air conditioner if you have one check on elderly neighbors and wear lightweight light colored clothing that covers as much of your skin as possible. Some signs of heat illness include heavy sweating, muscle cramps and decreased energy. People in New York City say they're waiting for the heat to ease up. It's bearable. But once you have to travel or walk long distances, it can be unbearable. Experts also say to stay hydrated but people with liver, kidney or heart disease should check with their doctors before increasing their fluid intake. Ashley Masar Cheddar.
