Millions of Bees Escape From Crates in Canada

Police near Toronto warned drivers to keep their car windows closed yesterday after a truck sped crates with millions of bees on the road. The police said 5 million bees were in the crates which slid off the truck during the incident. A beekeeper on the scene was stung several times. Police put a call out on social media asking for other beekeepers to help and at least six showed up to help by 9:15 a.m. Most of the bees had been collected and taken away. Police say some crates were left behind for the uncollected bees to return to.
