Most Walgreens Locations Will Close for Thanksgiving

For the first time ever, most Walgreens workers will be able to spend Thanksgiving with their families. The chain announced they will be closing almost all of its 8700 stores and pharmacies on the holiday for the first time in the store's history. The president of Walgreens Retail and the Chief Custom Officer had this to say we have consistently heard from our team members who are the of Walgreens. That time off is a meaningful way for us to demonstrate we value them. Walgreens will keep their 24 hour locations open. Other chains are also announcing their Turkey Day plans. CV S will close all of its non 24 hour pharmacy locations while Rite Aid will be keeping their stores open for the day, but we will be closing its pharmacies.
