Mother of 6-Year-Older School Shooter Pleads Guilty

The mother of the six year old who shot and injured his teacher back in January has pleaded to a pleaded guilty to a charge of felony child neglect. Deja Taylor appeared in a Virginia courtroom earlier this morning for a plea hearing regarding these charges. Prosecutors also agreed to drop a misdemeanor charge of reckless storage of a firearm against Taylor and said they will not seek a sentence that is longer than six months in prison. Taylor also pleaded guilty to two federal firearms charges. She is set to be sentenced on both the state and federal charges in October.
