Meanwhile, MTV just announced a date for the 2023 video music awards. The awards show will air live on Thursday, September 12th at eight PM Eastern. The V MA S are also returning to New Jersey's Prudential Center. Last year's ceremony was also held in New Jersey at the Newark Arena. In a statement M T V's President of music says, quote, celebrating one of our biggest nights in the music with the Garden State's incredible fans has been our goal since last year's highly successful event. MTV also says the event is going to feature unforgettable performances, epic tributes and show stopping appearances from really music's best stars.
