And the federal reserve raising interest rates once again this year and this time by 3/4 of a percentage point. My colleagues and I are acutely aware that high inflation imposes significant hardship, especially on those least able to meet the higher costs of essentials like food, housing and transportation. Now this is the highest rate hike since 1990 for Chairman Jerome Powell making that announcement following the Fed's policy meeting Wednesday. The move comes after May's hotter than expected inflation report and Wall Street's growing call for tougher action from the Fed just to keep prices under control market futures in a little bit of a freefall this morning. The World Health Organization will convene to discuss how to aid lower income nations in vaccinating populations and prevent future infections. The W. H. O. Says it is working with these nations to provide vaccine access and education with door to door campaigns and meetings with community leaders. The organization says the world must be wary of future variants that may emerge. And of course that's not the only public hearing making headlines as the world of politics is waking up and aerial Hickson is live on Capitol Hill, bringing us the biggest stories unfolding there in aerial the January 6th committee today gonna reveal even more information about that fateful day. That's right bigger. This House committee investigating the january 6th attack on the capitol is holding its third hearing today right here on capitol hill, revealing part of its investigation. So here's what you have to watch out for. Today's hearing is expected to focus on the effort from president trump to pressure Vice President mike Pence into going along with a fringe theory that the vice president could unilaterally decide the election outcome by refusing to count electors from certain states. The committee is set to hear testimony from two live witnesses. The first is Greg, Jacob Pence's former chief counsel who was involved in discussions with the trump team leading up to january 6th. Also expected as a witness is J. Michael luttig, a former federal judge who served as a legal adviser to Pence. He advised not to go along with the trump plan to certify different slates of electors. It's also a safe bet that we can expect more on this bit of evidence from the first hearing last week. Take a listen and aware of the rioters chance to hang mike Pence. After almost 27 years, Microsoft will no longer support the outdated web browser on certain versions of its Windows 10 operating system and it's incompatible with the recent Windows 11 Internet Explorer debuted in 1995 as part of the Windows 95 operating system Becoming an instant hit. At one point, it committed 95% of the browser market. Now it holds about 5% of the market share and will eventually be permanently disabled.
