National Weather Forecast: August 21, 2023

Hello, everyone. I'm meteorologist James Gregorio. We're shaping up pretty nicely here today with your Cheddar coast to coast forecast here. Pretty quiet that thunderstorm threat today basically non existent in the east satellite and radar picture from Newark to Philly to DC. You know what, nothing to worry about here. Pretty quiet. We got a few clouds in place as we zip a little further to the south. You know what, pretty quiet here as well. There are some showers and some clouds well to the south a little further out to the west and you know what, some showers here. Those are the remnants really of Hillary, moving out of California, numerous flood warnings still in effect there when you get a half a year's worth of rain and through southern California, that rain now moving up towards Idaho as well. So hopefully some of it will migrate towards Canada where they really could use it to help battle some of those wildfires as we move in towards your Tuesday. Things are quiet here and cooler the frontal boundaries through and in the east, we got a couple of really nice cooler days for Tuesday into Wednesday here some of the Gulf basin really kind of predicated on what happens with Emily and Ger and Franklin or tropical systems trying to march off there. All right, temperatures here that heat dome in the center, the United States not doing good here for Dallas at 105 ST Louis at 87. But temperatures in the northeast and mid Atlantic are looking great. Philly at 81. San Fran and L A on the other coast. Low to mid seventies, we slide in towards your Wednesday and you know, it still looks good on the coast, but the center of the US really going to be hot with these baking high temperatures. And that's a look at your triple C forecast.
