The House Education and Labor Committee has voted to move forward with its portion of the Democratic coronavirus relief proposal that includes increasing the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $15 an hour. The plan includes a provision to gradually raise the federal pay floor to that $15 an hour mark by 2025, but questions loom over whether it will ultimately survive a Senate vote.
