* **Attempted Pipe Bombings:** Crudely made pipe bombs were sent to several prominent Democrats, including President Obama and Hillary Clinton, as well as to CNN’s NYC office, in what investigators suspect was a politically motivated attack. None of the devices exploded and no one was injured. Police say they bore a resemblance to the device found in the mailbox of liberal philanthropist George Soros earlier in the week. And early Thursday morning, authorities also intercepted a device addressed to Robert De Niro at an NYC building owned by the actor. The FBI is cautioning that more devices may still be in the mail.
