737 Crisis: The FAA says Boeing 737 MAX jets are still “airworthy” despite two catastrophic crashes in less than six months. There are around 350 of the planes in use worldwide, including on American carriers like Southwest and United. Australia and Singapore banned all 737 MAX jets from their airspace, joining China and Indonesia. See a list of which airlines are still flying them here.

Pelosi on Trump: Nancy Pelosi came out against impeaching President Trump, telling The Washington Post Magazine “he’s just not worth it.” The speaker said in a wide-ranging interview that she would change her mind if information came out that was “compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan” but otherwise she believes impeachment proceedings are too divisive for the country. Dem Convention: Democrats have chosen Milwaukee for the site of their 2020 convention. The Wisconsin city beat out Miami Beach and Houston for the DNC, signaling the party’s belief that the Upper Midwest will be crucial to winning the presidency. Read more here.

Venezuela at the Brink: The U.S. is withdrawing the last remaining personnel from its embassy in Caracas as Venezuela enters its sixth day of sporadic blackouts. President Maduro blamed America for an “electromagnetic attack” on the country’s power grid, but experts believe the blackouts are a result of chronic corruption and underinvestment. Read more here.

Tallest Observation Deck: New York City is slated to have the tallest observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. The 100th-floor deck, set to open in 2020, is part of a massive new complex called Hudson Yards and will have panoramic views of Manhattan, other boroughs, and New Jersey. Check out the view here.

DirecTV Price Hike: DirecTV Now prices are going up again. AT&T reportedly plans on telling its subscribers this week that the monthly cost will go up by $10. This follows the $5 monthly increase last July. The streaming service lost nearly 300,000 subscribers last quarter. Read more here.

NBA Altercation: Russell Westbrook got into a heated confrontation with a fan as his Oklahoma City Thunder played the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City. Westbrook can be seen yelling profanities at someone in the stands. He later told reporters a spectator had yelled racial comments at him as he sat on the bench. See it here.

Catholic Church v. SNL: The Catholic Church’s Diocese of Brooklyn is demanding an apology after Pete Davidson’s skit in which he compared R. Kelly fans to Church supporters. The Diocese calls the skit “disgraceful and offensive.” Read more here.
