Bloomberg, who himself has toyed with running as an independent and is considering a run as a Democrat in ‘20, wrote that any third-party candidate would effectively hand President Trump re-election. * **Huawei Charges:** The U.S. charged the Chinese telecom giant Huawei with 23 counts of wire fraud, obstruction of justice and theft of trade secrets. The Justice Dept. alleges that Huawei, which is the #2 smartphone maker in the world, offered bonuses to employees who stole confidential information from T-Mobile, among others. * **Apple Gaming:** Apple is planning a monthly subscription service for games, sources told Cheddar. * **NBA Trade:** New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is looking to be traded. Davis’ agent said he wants to go to a team where he can compete for a championship.
