Israel Policy Shift: President Trump abruptly shifted decades of U.S. foreign policy by tweeting that Israel should be recognized as the sole owner of the disputed Golan Heights territory. Israel seized that land from Syria in the 1967 war, and the UN has since said the country must withdraw from territory it annexed by force. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is up for re-election next month, cheered the decision. Read more here.

Boeing Latest: The Investigation: The Department of Justice has issued the first subpoenas in its investigation into how Boeing certified and marketed the 737 Max Jet. Brexit: Brexit will be delayed until May 22 if Prime Minister Theresa May’s withdrawal deal is approved by British lawmakers next week. Oldest Living President: Jimmy Carter becomes the oldest living former president in U.S. history today. At 94 years and 172 days old, Carter surpasses the former record held by President George H.W. Bush. Read more here.

Facebook Security: Facebook said it accidentally left hundreds of millions of user passwords unencrypted and viewable to Facebook employees. The discovery was made in an internal security review. The company says there is no evidence any passwords were leaked. Read more here
