Well, yesterday, the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office said human remains found as part of a separate investigation had been positively identified as Morphew. The remains were found about 40 miles away from the area that she was reported missing. Her husband, Barry Morphew was charged with her murder, but the case was dismissed without prejudice in 2022 after prosecutors reportedly failed to turn over evidence, Barry Morphew sued prosecutors and investigators in May $15 million for violating his constitutional rights. The judge overseeing Donald Trump's federal 2020 election interference case will not recuse herself from the case.
