But first let's 70. You need to know headlines this morning and fury continues to grow in Texas against politicians in the wake of this week's mass shooting at L. A. Elementary School. This is totally predictable when you sir, you're out of line sir. You're out of line sir. You are out of line. Yeah, that's texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke interrupting incumbent governor Greg Abbott's press conference yesterday after Beta was escorted out. He said this to reporters. Why are we letting this happen in this country? Why is this happening in this state? Year after year, city after city. This is on all of us. If we do not do something and I am going to do something and I'm not alone now. In that same press conference, Governor Abbott said the suspected shooter posted several social media warnings on facebook shortly before Tuesday's shooting, including threats to shoot his grandmother and an elementary school, both of which he carried out now. Metta says the messages were private one on one communications and that they're cooperating with law enforcement last night. The community dealing with heartbreak grief and shock. They all came together to honor the victims at a vigil and now we want to bring in Cheddars Megan pratt who is live on the ground for us this morning in U Uvalde texas. Good morning Megan. So how do things look on the ground this morning? Has anything changed from yesterday? There's sort of two parallel paths that exist here on the ground. There's the community path, how the people here are feeling. And then there's also the law enforcement investigation. I'm going to actually start with law enforcement because we've learned a lot more about what exactly took place inside rob elementary school behind me here in Uvalde texas on Tuesday. Now the situation, it appears we knew sort of the basic details that the gunmen ran his truck into a ditch before running into the school and he was engaged with law enforcement during that time. It is unclear whether there were shots fired, officials saying both that shots were fired and that they were not. But then we do know that the shooter then went inside the school barricaded himself in a single classroom where he killed two teachers and 19 Children. And the main difference here on the ground this morning as I come to you from the same place we were yesterday is these white crosses and you can see them a little bit over my shoulder here, there are 21 of them with names adorning them as well as flowers for the 21 victims of this shooting. We know that there are still a number of people, probably around a dozen in nearby hospitals in anywhere from stable to critical condition. We will keep you posted as to how that situation developed. But law enforcement is really trying to recreate this scene, determine the motivation, determine exactly what happened where and when and what led to it because they are concerned as they are in these situations that there were accomplices that there was an additional motive. So baker Hannah still a lot of unanswered questions, but more of those questions being answered here on thursday. Well, Megan, I know that baker mentioned the service that community members held yesterday, How are they, how are they continuing to process the grief these past two days? Your body is an incredibly close knit community and I think that one of the strengths that they have is that they are so incredibly tightly woven, everyone knows everyone else, they are grieving together. Everyone knows someone who was affected by the shooting and they feel as though they will move forward in a into a different quality, but they'll do so together. I spoke to one of the nearby residents whose nephew was inside the school during the shooting and he said, here's what's next for the town. Like I said, this town is very tight knit. Their real well we're real close, we're back each other up as much as we can. So, I mean, I'm more than sure, especially with the churches and all of that, I'm more than sure that we're gonna find a way we have a saying here where the body coyotes, we have a saying here where your body strong and if you look at the side of the school, it's just together we rise and I believe and I know I know for a fact together we are going to rise and we're gonna look back at this and remember those angels, they were always angels, they just gained their wings yesterday these angels now have their wings according to mr Hernandez. So Hannah baker is still a lot of emotions in this community as they try to process the senselessness of the violence here. It was taken a week after the leak of that draft opinion that showed that the justices appear to be poised to overturn roe v wade. Only 44% of those surveyed say they still approve of the high court. That's a significant drop since the poll was taken last March, when 54% of those polled approved of the job that the nine justices were doing. While only 45% disapproved. Now the new poll also split along party lines as well, only 24% of Democrats give the court a positive rating compared to 68% of Republicans and Boeing's starliner successfully landed in New Mexico on Wednesday night.
