Need2Know: U.S. Urges Americans to Leave Ukraine, Twitter Whistleblower, 

today marks six months since the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the U. S. Telling americans to leave the country immediately. The US and Ukrainian government's warning that Russia is preparing new attacks on civilian and government facilities there. A security alert on the U. S. Embassy website says that the situation may quote deteriorate without warning. Today. Also the 34 anniversary of Ukraine's independence from the soviet union, a former security chief at twitter is alleging major issues on the platform claiming extreme egregious sufficiency. The complaint comes from Peter who is also known as the hacker Mudge these disclosure. He's into Congress that claims there's a lack of oversight of twitter when it comes to sensitive information and higher ups have been trying to hide vulnerabilities. The Associated Press and other outlets are reporting that President biden is expected to announce that he will cancel $10,000 of student loan debt for certain borrowers. The details of the plan are closely guarded. But what we know right now is that borrowers who make less than 100 $25,000 a year would be eligible for up to $10,000 of debt forgiveness. He is also expected to extend the pause on student loan payments through january, a move we expected given the midterm elections in november. And the pause was set to expire at the end of this month. So a bit of relief, there, other details could still be included that have not yet been reported. The by administration in recent days has discussed limiting the pool of eligible borrowers even further to those making less than 100 25,000 who also received pell grants which are given to low income students to help pay for college. The reported plan is in line with biden's position from the campaign trail. He never supported lofty ambitions from progressives to cancel as much as $50,000 for every borrower. But we still haven't seen confirmation From the White House and if this announcement comes today, it would bring relief to millions of bars. We have to keep in mind though that total federal student loan debt is over $1.6 trillion. So this plan would leave much of that debt and text really just a dent in all of that. Yeah. So let's talk about the likelihood that this plan actually holds up and goes through here. What are the chances Ariel. Well, it's pretty unclear right now. Legal experts have conflicting opinions on whether the president can even cancel student loan debt court challenge from industry groups and others is almost certain to happen and the biden administration is hoping that with a small and more targeted cancelation effort, the plan will hold up to legal scrutiny but we'll have to wait and see whether borrowers actually get this relief. Well, a jury convicted two men on Tuesday of conspiring to kidnap michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr were also found guilty of conspiring to obtain a weapon of mass destruction. Prosecutors described the plot as rallying cry for U. S. Civil war by anti government extremists. It was the second trial for Fox and Croft after a jury in april couldn't reach a unanimous verdict. They are facing life in prison for the conspiracy conviction. Well, Nasa's webb telescope has captured dramatic new images of jupiter and they show Aurora's clouds and even rings. Look at this. That telescope uses a camera with three filters that can map out infrared light which is invisible to the human eye all for colors on the visible spectrum. Now the photos use artificial colors to make features stand out. The red on the photos show auroras while yellows and greens show Hayes is swirling around the poles. Now that white band and spot show cloud cover including that red spot a massive storm that is even bigger than earth baker that's super cool and keeping up with outer space Nasa's Artemis one spacecraft has been cleared for launch. The new rocket is scheduled for liftoff from florida of course. Next week. It will send an unclear Dorian capsule onto a journey around the moon and back to the Earth. The Artemis program is expected to return to people to the moon by 2025 the first time since the 19 seventies.
