ESPN has a new president, following the abrupt resignation of its former president in December. Disney appointed James Pitaro as the new head of ESPN. Previously, he was Disney's consumer products and digital chief. Pitaro will have his work cut out for him. Next month, ESPN will launch its new streaming service. The network is also facing declining viewership. Nordstrom rejected an offer from the Nordstrom family to take the company private. The board said the family's offer of $50 a share was too low. That offer would have put the company at a valuation of $8.3 billion. This was the first bid from the Nordstrom family. They've been trying to take the company private for the last year. Nordstrom went public in 1971.
