And this requires employers that use software like chat bot hiring tools and resume scanners to audit the tool yearly for potential race and gender biases and then publish those results on a website. The companies are required to offer alternative screening options for New Yorkers who are applying for a job. They can also get up to $1500 penalty per violation a day if they don't comply with it.
