Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been more than 3,700 attacks against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, according to non-profit group Stop AAPI Hate. One out of 10 were physical attacks and seven out of 10 involved verbal threats. More than 20 percent involved deliberate avoidance. Experts believe the numbers may be significantly underreported due victims' fears about reporting these incidents to authorities and language barriers. Cheddar’s Michelle Castillo investigates.
