Public spaces have become an increasingly precious commodity amid the coronavirus pandemic and with a surge in the popularity of biking, New York City officials are starting to rethink the city’s streets. Cheddar’s Chloe Aiello caught up with the Department of Transportation’s Jennifer Harris-Hernandez and Transportation Alternatives Executive Director Danny Harris to ask about new initiatives like the DOT’s plan to install 10,000 bike racks city-wide.
