All right, well let's go ahead and keep this conversation going joining us Now, host of the daily tip, Michael Jenkins. So jenks first of all, let's talk about betting players who are specifically on some sort of hot streak right now. What is your philosophy here and who have been your guys to roll with so far in the NBA playoffs? Well, what I'd like to do is first of all, good to see you guys as always, what I like to do is I like to find players short necessarily superstars because let's say you have for example, Lebron James going off on some sort of point streak. The public jumps on that very quickly. And so do the books. A guy that I've been following the playoffs is bam out of bio because Joel Embiid hasn't been playing for the six years now. What do you think of point props? You're not thinking of bam out of bio but the heat have put him in the middle of that offense and no one has been able to check him. So he's gone over his points props in the first couple of games in this series because Joel Embiid has not been a physical presence there. So if you find a guy who's a little bit off the radar, maybe there's a matchup advantage you can find a number to your liking. Alright, thanks. So last week, your co host Chelsea Messenger beat Alex, $40 to nothing. So boys. No, no one had a good day. So let's try and make some cash between us this week, we're getting into one of our favorite games on the clock. So jenks, you and Alex are up against each other using anything on tonight's card that you can bet on bet. Mgm. You'll each get three picks. But here's where the strategy kicks in. You each have a budget to spread across your pics of $100. The goal is simple finish the night with more money than your opponent. So sound good to you. All sounds great. Alright, we're gonna do this in a snake draft order. So jenks you're up first, you are now on the clock. Okay, Here's my big bet. $50. It's tonight's baseball game between the jays and guardians. I'm going 50 bucks on the jays. First five run line. And this is a straight fade of Aaron Civil for the guardians. Taking on Jose barrios. Barrios hasn't been fantastic this season, but Sovaldi has been, oh my God, bad four starts this season has not gotten past the fourth inning in any of those starts has allowed 17 earned runs, opponents are batting 3 45 against him and he has to take on that jays lineup, which is middle of the road, but leads major League Baseball and home runs. It's minus 1 10. The jays just have to be up a single run after five. So I'm betting $50 jay's first five run line. All right. I'm gonna get a little plus money to start things off here. I'm going with the panthers first period, I'm gonna lay a half a goal here. Uh listen, I've got to back my icecats here, The caps stole game one, they turned things up in the third. So I'm looking for florida to turn things up and get right back to business in the first period of this one. They didn't look like themselves in that first game. I don't know what's going on, but there's no way they come out and dropped to at home, right? So I like them to come out strong and establish what tonight's gonna be early in this one. So uh panthers first period, okay Alex, now you go again with our snake draft. Okay, I'm gonna stay on the ice and I'm gonna go with the rangers on the freeway moneyline. More plus money. Well even money here, uh I'm gonna give the edge to the rangers between the pipes and on the ice for a lot of reasons. I'm looking at the injury report the pens are gonna be down without Casey to smith. So they're gonna be playing with their backup backup goalie ricard raquel. Gonna be out tristan tristan jar, excuse me also dealing with a lower body injury. So this is a banged up pens team going up against a hungry rangers team who again, I hate to just buy into this narrative. There's no way the rangers go down two games at home. Right? It just can't happen. So I think they're gonna come up with a sense of urgency and handle business even though game one went to triple overtime, I don't see overtime in this one. So I'm going with a three way money line. Alright, jenks, you're up, I'm going to the stick and puck to, I'm going over 6.5 goal tonight between the breads and the Abs. I can't believe this is juice to minus 1 32 the over. But if you look at the past five meetings between these two teams, it's incredible. Colorado wins six to Nashville wins five to Nashville wins 54. Nashville wins 54, the Abs one game 17 to 2 in the last five games, there have been at least seven goals in each of these battles. And not only that, you're Nashville and you're going with your backup goalie, David Riddick instead of you see sorrows and you're taking on the best offense in the NHL I'm following the trends here. I don't think the breads have it between the pipes to hang with colorado. So give me the over 6.5 goals tonight in Denver, I love how much hockey we're talking. But wait, jenks, I have to talk about your last pick. Mhm. Your what's your last pick of the night? Oh, last pick of the night, my last pick of the night is I'm gonna move forward a little bit and I'm gonna lay 6.5 with the warriors on saturday against the Grizzlies and I know you look at this number and you say, whoa, that's way too many points, but Memphis was the number one covering team against the number at home during the NBA regular season. Number two was Golden State. And not only that, I would not be chirping to Steph curry as I'm walking off the court like john Moran, did I know, he said, oh we're gonna have some fun. I would not say anything to the greatest shooter of all time. Golden State shot 18% from three point range in Game two, I expect some positive regression out in Golden State. The Warriors make a statement and they roll the Grizz on saturday. All right Alex. Alright, alright, I'm gonna go back to that that as Preds game and I'm gonna lay 1.5 on the puck line for the abs. It's a little cult spread here. Uh 2.5, a little too rich for my blood here, so I'm gonna lay a little juice here because I've already got two plus money bets here, but while I'm not sure about this abs team, I know everyone's high on them, everyone loves the abs. I'm not sure if they're built for a deep playoff run because they play with too much finesse. I'm not sure how it's gonna work. But the Preds just don't have enough between the pipes and they don't have enough offense to keep up with this obscene tonight. So I think they can win this one by two or more tonight again in game two. Alright. And I just have to say jinx from the way that you guys picked Alex stands to win slightly more money than you, so we'll have to see what happens, right? He gets to wait it out.
