On The Scene: Patrons Can Buy Shares of History at Rally Museum

Earlier, our very own channel linear gave us a glimpse into the world of luxury collectibles at the Rally Museum right here in New York. Let's see what other items are up for. Grab Shannon? Wow. Well, first of all, check this out. Have you ever wanted to own a dinosaur or is that just me? Well, now you can actually own part of this dinosaur. It looks pretty cool. It's like 60 million years old and it's right here at the Rally Museum in New York City. So we gotta talk to Matt, the, the founder of this amazing place as well as the chief product officer. That's a pretty cool title. So talk to me about this dinosaur. First of all, how did you even get? Yeah. So we were, we were, it sounds crazy. We were looking for a dinosaur for, for quite some time. So we have some really close friends in the geology community and really good paleontologists in network. We wanted one that was really unique that everybody recognized from fifth grade to, to now where you look back and say, what are the most unique dinosaurs? It's really this triceratops and a so this one is one of the most unique and one of the most complete dinosaur fossils and complete dinosaurs, skulls in the United States is a triceratops skull from 60 million years ago. Wow. And you have how many people that own this? So there are around 800 individual shareholders in that particular asset. So they're all owners of this, of this really unique triceratops felt in their portfolio. And that's what's so unique about the Raleigh Museum is people can actually become fractional owners and a lot of the memorabilia you have here. Right. Yeah, I mean, the idea is that everything here can be owned, it is for sale and it's something you can put into your portfolio and that's everything from classic cars to dinosaurs, to memorabilia, all of things that people love and recognize are available. Well, talk to us about a classic car right here. The Porsche is beautiful, little drop top action for you. He has a little bit, a little bit uh a little newer than the dinosaur for sure. So this is from 1955. This is one of the original speed. So this is one that in the color combination that it's in with all the matching numbers in parts, it's got a ton of originality, but it's also something that when it comes to sort of classic car collecting and investing, this is one of those kind of pinnacles of ownership. So this is one of the first uh classic cars that we ever put on rally. And it's one that's kind of traveled with us over the last five years of the business. And now how much would this be worth? This is around anywhere between 305 $100,000. And again, this is one that around 1200 individual investors own right now. And I forgot to ask you about the dinosaur. I mean, it's priceless to me. But how much would this be worth if they were to sell it? This is around the, the IP one rally was around $300,000. The market is a little bit unique for dinosaur fossils. They are a little bit harder to find than a Porsche. So we don't know where would be if it got bought out today, but it's something that evokes a lot of attention. Everybody asks questions about it. So it's, it's one that's like really core to our collection. That is pretty cool. Now, my brother is a sports head and you have a lot of stuff here for people who love sports and memorabilia like this ring. Now, this is actual collection of rings. So when Jordan played with the Bulls, is that correct? Yeah, this is from each uh from both of his three peat. So this represents kind of like the uh the crowning achievements of Michael Jordan and that Bulls team and these were team issued to private security for Jordan and team security John Caps who is someone who was featured in the Jordan documentary and has a lot of lines with the team. And, uh, you know, it's a very rare to find the full set of each of Jordan's championships in one set. And this is one of only two that are in private collections. But I mean, with something like this, you would think it, it's hard to put a value on. So how do you put a value on some of these things? So it's tough. But I think with things like Michael Jordan and with one with individual names who have big memorabilia collections, we kind of price it out based on comps. So each of these individual rings would be around 20 to $40,000 and they've sold individually over time, but we put the whole set together, you know, we priced it at around $300,000 and then we let investors decide if that's the right price or not. So when the IPO sells out quickly, when it trades up, then we kind of know where we stand in terms of price. So I'm sure the dinosaur is one of the main things people talk about when they come here. But what one of the big sellers or big attractors here at the museum as well? So Michael Jordan always does well, so we have some of the original Jordan sneakers, some of the, the uh uniforms that he played in we have the first jersey from when he signed his contract was the first ever time that the name Jordan was on the back of a Bulls jersey. That's the type of stuff that evokes a lot of memories and emotion from kind of like the nineties kids in that generation of people who, when they walk in here, we take them on a little bit of a journey. So you have everything from the Pokemon cards, which has always always been something that gets a lot of attention and gets a lot of emotion from the same and these kids. But then it goes all the way through to things like Harry Potter. Like we talked about to Birkin bags, which I think anybody who knows about like Birkin bags knows they're expensive and hard to get. But ours is the one that's one of 50 that's a very specific one that has a great story. So would know all about those. But we gonna tell us back to her in a second but real quick can people just come in here and look because there's a lot of great selfie opportunities as well. Yeah, I mean, that's what it's built for. We're in this neighborhood that's really active all the time. We want to make sure it's something that's interactive that, you know, families, that individuals, anyone come in and get a piece of any of these assets. But also we're gonna be open on weekends until the middle of July and then we open Wednesday through Saturday. So over the course the next couple of months we'll make it a real community space.
