On February 11, 1990, anti-apartheid activist Nelson Mandela was released from prison in South Africa after serving 27 years. Today prison reform remains at the forefront of the cultural conversation. Josie Duffy Rice, a lawyer and prison reform advocate is working to help wrongfully convicted inmates and supporting prison reform.
