Eight-year-old Sam Adventure Baker has become the youngest person to climb El Capitan in California’s Yosemite National Park.

Adventure baker has made history as the youngest person to climb California's El capitan, which stands more than 3000 ft from the he completed this feat alongside his father joe baker who has shared Sam's journey on social media. But his journey started when he was just a baby. According to Sam's dad, he was in a harness before he could even walk at just 18 months old, his dad noticed he was climbing into his crib unlike any other child would. So rock climbing has always been a huge part of the baker family activities. And at the age of three Sam, his first real climb, his dad assured his nervous family and friends and followers that you don't get on El capitan unless you're an expert in this sport and by the age of eight, Sam was certainly at expert level. He's been training for the last two years, at least three days a week for El Cap. Sam knew he could complete this feat because of all the very other difficult routes he's been able to pull off in just a few years time and on october 25th, the father son duo blasted up on El Cap in California's Yosemite national park where they spent four days and three nights climbing and living on the wall the entire time they'd be hanging either on their fingers or on their anchors. But they were also part of a four person team who shared the adventure with the bakers. Even sleeping and resting was an obstacle. They had to bolt Meck leads us onto the walls with thousands of feet of nothing but air beneath them. You can get a pretty good idea of their sleep setups from this video and right before reaching the top, Sam said, he revealed a huge banner that said, I love you mom. In October 28 they finally made it to the top and Sam officially became the newest record holder of the youngest person to climb El Capitan. They had a party with a disco ball celebrated and finally rested only to wake up the next day and hike down eight miles when they reached the valley ground tons of people, news anchors and supporters were waiting for Sam to get pictures with him. Sam said he felt like a celebrity, even complete strangers knew his name and were congratulating him. Sam's dad said in a few years he might be breaking more records will be in an afterglow for days
