A non-profit in England is helping many people join in on the fun at the beach with ocean-safe wheelchairs. Children and adults alike who were previously unable to enjoy the waves have been given the opportunity to experience the smell of the sea on the sand.

So to take a break, we'd like to tell you about one good thing happening in the world today on Cheddars news wrap. Today's good thing highlights. A big win for the fight towards greater accessibility. Joey Leath Wood is a young boy with cerebral palsy. He spends most of his life in a wheelchair and was never quite a fan of the beach as his wheelchair made the experience difficult and un enjoyable. Recently, Joey was finally able to enjoy the seaside look at him with a revolutionary beach wheelchair made by a company in England. This heartwarming footage from Joey's mom shows him as she described it, laughing his head off during their family trip. She said the family usually avoids the beach because of Joey's sensory issues, but when she heard about these beach wheelchairs, she took a chance and booked one for her son. The family was able to get him into the sea smoothly and with ease and was finally able to join his siblings while they played on the stand. She shared, quote, anybody living with disabilities or poor mobility will understand how much of a positive impact and experience like this will have and the impact is already far and wide. The parents and loved ones of many disabled individuals shared their positive experiences with the beach wheelchairs this summer as well. Here's another happy beachgoer, a three year old who is able to safely go in the water for the very first time. His mother said she already can't wait till next time. And it's not just Children either. Nicola jones shared this photo saying quote Warren has been eager to paddle his feet for a long time and without this wheelchair, we never have been able to get him down to the sea. The company beach ability in gold medals, beach wheelchairs has already helped people of all ages and disabilities, but their work is far from done. The team said the plan for 2023 is to get even more chairs and walkers for the beach as well as more volunteers to ensure they can accommodate anyone and even open more locations around the world.
