One Good Thing: Dog Rescued From Cave

We know life can be tough sometimes. So we'd like to take a moment to share one good thing happening in the world today. A missing dog was found and safely rescued from a Tennessee cave. After spending three days trapped inside with a bear, firefighters responded to reports of the dog. His name is Charlie. He was stuck about 40 ft deep within a narrow cave. Last week after the crew located Charlie, a rescue attempt was started but came to a halt. Once a firefighter ran into a sleeping bear, the team decided to set up a camera and see if the bear would leave before continuing with the rescue mission. Thankfully, that bear did eventually leave the cave. The Walden's Creek Fire Department, Facebook page share this incredible moment. Charlie was hoisted back up to safety and was greeted with happy applause. We are so glad he is safe. What a rescue.
