One Good Thing: Grandma and Grandson Go to Every U.S. National Park

We know that life can be tough sometimes. So we'd like to take a moment to share one good thing happening in the world today. It's summer. So many people like us are getting out of town, but one family just couldn't wait to get on the road. Brad Ryan told Cheddar News. He took his grandma on an adventure after she told him she had never seen a mountain. The pair made a plan to visit all 63 national Parks in the US. And after 7.5 years, they finally completed their journey. Watch this. Who's out here hiking in the middle of the rainforest? It's beautiful. It is. Oh man, I love it here. They ended their itinerary at the National Park of American Samoa. The park service even gave them certificates to honor the occasion. By the way, Ryan said that his grandma is 93 years old and she is also the oldest person to visit every US park. And is, that's a pretty good reminder that getting older isn't something to dread. Age is just a number. Their journey isn't done yet. Their next stop, Kenya and they're hoping to visit all seven continents. Ryan told Cheddar traveling with family is an opportunity to understand who you are and where you came from. He also stressed it was a good time to ask questions and learn more about them. He also encourages us to use road trips to understand what it is about your grandparents or other relatives that impacted the way you grew up looking to forward to following his adventure.
