Online Gambling Acted as 'Bridge' to Commercial Gaming's Record-Breaking Q2

The pandemic ravaged many industries over the course of the last year-and-a-half, but gambling has made a complete turnaround breaking revenue records with $13.6 billion in the Q2 of 2021. Bill Miller, president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, joined Cheddar to discuss the driving factors behind the commercial gaming industry’s rebound. “During the pandemic what we saw was the online experience, whether it be iGaming or sports betting, was really, quite frankly, a bridge and a lifeline for a number of brick and mortar properties,” he said.
